Overview
Addex Therapeutics is a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialization of an emerging class of novel orally available small-molecule drugs known as allosteric modulators for neurological disorders. Its modulators offer several potential advantages over conventional non-allosteric molecules and may offer an improved therapeutic approach to conventional "orthosteric" small molecules or biological drugs. Its allosteric modulator drug discovery platform targets receptors and other proteins that are recognized as essential for therapeutic intervention.

Stalicla develops precision-medicine therapeutics for neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders. Its lead autism candidate, STP1, is slated to enter Phase 2 trials, and the company has a second autism-targeted asset aimed at a distinct ASD patient subgroup. Stalicla is also advancing STP7 (mavoglurant), an mGluR5 negative allosteric modulator, for cocaine use disorder under a CRADA with NIDA at the NIH; that program is described as the most advanced treatment candidate for that indication. The company recently secured a CHF 2 million investment led by Addex to fund program advancement, asset partnering, preparation for a Series C financing, and general corporate purposes. As part of the investment, Addex’s CEO was named to Stalicla’s board and nominated as chairman.
