- Castelion
Participated · Series C · Aug 2026
Castelion's flagship product is Blackbeard, described as a low-cost, mass-producible hypersonic strike missile engineered for industrial-rate output and continuous flight-test iteration. The company has progressed from early development to repeated flight testing, operational integration, and construction of a dedicated high-rate production capability, including the 1,000-acre Project Ranger manufacturing campus in New Mexico. Castelion has secured over $500 million in U.S. military contracts in the past 18 months and achieved program-of-record status for Blackbeard in under four years, with fielding targeted for 2027. Management and investors say the company is already producing hardware, mixing propellant in New Mexico, and shipping to the services. Castelion plans to use new capital to scale Blackbeard production, accelerate a longer-range precision strike weapon that leverages Blackbeard technologies, and develop lower-cost defensive systems. The company is headquartered in Torrance, California, with manufacturing operations in New Mexico, Texas, and California and offices in Washington, D.C. The Series C values the company at $13 billion following the $1 billion raise (comprised of $800 million equity and a $250 million revolving credit facility).
- Hadrian
Participated · Series D · Aug 2026
Hadrian builds automated manufacturing facilities that mass-produce parts for vehicles used by the military. The company has opened multiple facilities, including a fourth site in Alabama announced in March to produce submarine parts. That Alabama facility was structured as a public/private partnership and valued at $2.4 billion, according to Hadrian. Hadrian has attracted large venture and institutional backers and recently raised a $1.37 billion round at a $7.87 billion valuation. About a year earlier it raised a $260 million Series C led by Founders Fund and Lux Capital, bringing total capital raised to roughly $2 billion per PitchBook estimates. The company's current plans and financing indicate continued expansion of its automated production footprint for defense supply chains.
- Volta
Led · Series A · Aug 2026
Volta is an AI cloud infrastructure firm founded earlier this year by Ricard Boada and Sofia Gumuzio. The company has secured 1 gigawatt of data center power capacity to date and plans to develop new sites in Texas and Wyoming. Volta announced a six-year, $10 billion cloud services contract with a major AI developer that will be hosted with Bitdeer at a 133-megawatt facility in Norway. It also arranged a $5 billion customer financing pool to lower the barrier for smaller AI companies to buy NVIDIA’s high-end chips. Volta’s public targets include deploying multiple gigawatts of computing capacity by 2030. The company raised $300 million in a venture round co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Altimeter Capital with participation from NVIDIA and Michael Dell.
- K2 Space
Participated · Series D · Jul 2026
K2 Space designs and manufactures large, high-power satellites with a heavily vertically integrated supply chain that produces more than 85% of its platform in-house. The company operates a 180,000 sq ft factory in Torrance, California, configured to manufacture up to 100 satellites per year. K2 has won major commercial and national security contracts, including an initial tranche of 30 satellites for SES’s meoSphere network, work with Anduril on the Golden Dome program, and selection as the bus provider for the Space Force’s Protected Tactical Satcom-Global program. Financially, K2 has cumulatively raised over $1 billion in capital and secured over $1 billion in signed contracts. Near-term product and operational plans include launching the Trinity mission in Q2 2027 and introducing a 100 kW Giga-class satellite in the second half of 2028 to enable larger on-orbit compute and payload capacity.
- XBOW
Participated · Series C · Mar 2026
XBOW provides an autonomous offensive security platform that combines AI reasoning with offensive security workflows to run continuous, automated tests that find and exploit vulnerabilities and validate exploitability at machine speed. The platform is positioned to reduce validation backlogs by producing validated findings with a low false-positive rate and to confirm findings surfaced by other security tools. XBOW serves more than 100 customers worldwide, including strategic investors and industry names like Moderna and Seznam, and recently surpassed 250 employees as it scales. The company emphasizes enabling security teams to operate proactively and continuously to keep pace with AI-driven attackers. Its near-term plans include accelerating global expansion and expanding distribution and partner channels, particularly in the Asia Pacific region via DNX Ventures and Samsung as a preferred reseller in South Korea. The company announced the additional Series C financing to fuel these go-to-market, engineering, and operations growth initiatives.
