Vista is described as the world’s leading global private aviation group and a leading private jet company with a global presence across markets. The group provides private jet services and positions itself as a long‑track industry innovator. Vista said the $600 million equity investment will optimize the Group’s capital structure and enhance free‑cash‑flow generation. The funding is intended to reduce indebtedness and accelerate deleveraging. The company also plans to use the transaction to diversify its investor base and further strengthen its financial position. Vista framed the investment as validation of confidence in its strategic vision and business model. VistaJet, founded in 2004 by Thomas Flohr, is a private aviation company that operates an operations hub in Malta and main sales offices in London, Dubai, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. The company has built a fleet of over 70 wholly‑owned super midsized and ultra‑long range aircraft with identical livery, managed via a proprietary internally developed technology platform. This year VistaJet introduced VistaJet Direct, a digital membership giving customers priority access to one‑way and empty‑leg flights via the company’s app and website. In August 2017 Rhône Capital made a $150M primary equity investment and, together with secondary acquisitions, will hold a $200M stake in the company. The transaction valued VistaJet’s equity on a post‑money basis in excess of $2.5 billion. VistaJet said it will use the proceeds to grow the business both organically and by acquisition.
