TRA provides a web-based business intelligence platform called Media TRAnalytics that helps advertisers, agencies and media organizations measure and improve marketing accountability. The platform matches 1.5 million households of TV data with 54 million households of purchase data and touts the largest single-source database — 370,000 households. In TV measurement it uses tuning data from set-top boxes, household purchase data from scanner cards and advertisers, and household demographic data to collect, measure, integrate, analyze and produce customized reports. The company’s database currently contains consumer packaged goods data and it plans to load additional purchase data such as pharmaceutical, automotive, consumer electronics and financial services. TRA will use the new funding for market expansion, data acquisition and to ramp up recruitment. The company launched two years ago.
