Retail Robotics Solutions offers the RRS Robot-Cashier, an AI- and neural-network-powered self-checkout solution designed to reduce customer waiting times and cut costs for restaurants and corporate canteens. The company raised €0.5M in exchange for 6.25% of its shares, in a round led by Ariel Investments Corp. The round is reported to value the company at €8M (the article also refers to a $8M valuation). Management intends to use the funds to strengthen its market presence across Europe and enhance its product offerings for restaurants and canteens. Led by CEO Dmitry Rodin and resident at Station F in Paris, RRS plans a Series A by the end of 2023 targeting US self-service restaurants and corporate canteens, followed by a Series B in May–June 2024 focused on R&D to expand into the broader retail market.
