Arteel Ventures is a fully independent and invests from its balance sheet. As an investment vehicle, we are focused on innovative early stage start-ups with capable management team and disruptive idea in areas of internet, mobile device based services and solutions. We make investments between 25.000 – 150.000 €. Arteel Ventures is not a fund, so we don’t have a need to stamp any sell before dates to company we invest in. We invest not only equity but also our time, knowledge and network to the use of our portfolio companies. Our investment approach is active and hands-on, as is our approach to ownership. We believe in independence, openness and clarity when partnering with entrepreneur-driven management teams.

EatAndTheCity provides an AI-powered white-label restaurant discovery platform that allows users to discover and book eating experiences in their city. The platform combines feedback from journalists, food critics and local users into unbiased reviews of nearby restaurants and takeaways. Led by cofounder Ilkka O. Lavas, the company collaborates with partners including Michelin’s Bookatable, HERE mapping service and Wolt delivery. It has offices in Helsinki, Berlin, London, Sheffield and Tallinn, and its first international media partner is Munich-based Sueddeutsche Zeitung. The company raised €3.3M in funding and intends to use the funds to expand its platform. The startup works with a range of corporate partners to distribute its white-label offering.
