  Shypple operates a digital freight forwarding platform and this year expanded its capabilities into air freight and perishables through the acquisition of air and ocean forwarder Milestone. The Milestone deal brings seven offices in China and strengthens Shypple's foothold in the Asian market while increasing its European and Central American presence. Shypple says the acquisition makes it the first digital freight forwarding service for air freight and perishables. The company raised a total of €25.5 million in Series A and A2 financings this year to support its growth and digitalisation efforts. Investors from the initial Series A included Dutch Founders Fund, Newtown Partners (via the Imperial Venture Fund), InnovationQuarter, and BOM Brabant Ventures; Milestone executives also participated in the latest round. Executives from Milestone highlighted combining perishable-transport expertise with Shypple's digital capabilities to improve visibility, consistency, and reliability for customers. Shypple provides a centralized, digital web application that acts as a supply-chain dashboard, enabling companies to search, compare, book and track shipments for ocean and air freight and manage bookings, planning, delivery and communications. The platform supports multiple users who can collaborate and remain in direct contact with dedicated operations coordinators. Shypple offers end-to-end forwarding services from door pick-ups and customs brokerage to ocean, air and rail freight plus on-demand warehousing. The startup is active in retail, e-commerce and wholesale segments and currently connects more than 800 ports worldwide. The company has 25 employees and plans to make its online platform suitable for air cargo. It intends to use the new funds to further improve the product and simplify freight shipping.
