Autochrome is an inception and seed stage venture capital fund. They invest at the earliest stages in transformative companies that are leveraging technology to move their species forward. Kubos develops open-source software for satellites, including mission design, on‑board software, hardware test and cloud-based mission operations. Led by CEO Marshall Culpepper, the company provides tools intended to run and manage satellite missions and ground integrations. Kubos said it will use the new funding to expand the reach of its flight software and to grow its software platform. The company is working to launch two new products: Kubos Hopper, a cloud-based Satellite hardware testing service, and Kubos Major Tom, a cloud-based mission operations and data analytics service. Major Tom is described as offering integration with both cloud-based ground network providers and on-site hardware. The company recently raised funding to support these product and platform expansions.
