Founded in 2025, Green Bunkers launched with capital from Baghdadi Capital to build a digital platform for the €100 billion maritime bunkering market. The product focuses on green corridors for consistent access to low‑emission fuels, fuel traceability tools, real‑time fleet monitoring, and integrated carbon credit management. The company says it will offer price and emissions transparency, CO₂ offsetting options, and access to finance for bunkering operations. Green Bunkers is also working with port authorities to support cold ironing and is exploring onboard carbon capture solutions. Spain serves as the company’s international base of operations, with rollout across Spain and Europe in 2025–2026 and planned expansion to the Middle East, Southeast Asia by end‑2026 and the Americas in 2027. The platform plans to provide up to €50 million in financing for bunkering operations to address liquidity gaps in the sector.
