  Spinn builds a centrifugal, connected coffee maker that spins grounds to brew espresso, Americano, drip and cold brew and can be controlled via an app or Amazon Alexa. The company operates a marketplace offering over 1,500 coffees from more than 500 artisan roasters, with features like playlists, reviews and recommendations. Its machines retail between $479 and $799 and require no filters or pods. CEO Roderick de Rode says the company has seen triple-digit growth from home users and aims to provide educational content about coffee and roasters. Spinn plans to use new funding to further develop its patented brewing technologies and to complete delivery of outstanding pre-orders. The company previously completed Series A and B rounds and is based in Los Angeles.
