The platform is live in the UK for both retail and SME customers, with deposits held by regulated banking partners and eligible funds protected under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). Stoa combines behavioural finance, embedded banking infrastructure and merchant partnerships to connect financial institutions, brands and customers. The company frames its opportunity around large pools of low-yield cash in the UK, citing more than £600 billion in low- or non-interest consumer accounts and over £250 billion in SME cash reserves. Stoa plans to use recent funding to develop product features, expand partnership networks, and launch in the US by building relationships with financial institutions and merchants there.
