  Parkmobile provides on-demand and prepaid mobile payments for on- and off-street parking to municipalities and parking providers. Parkmobile USA, led by CEO Cherie Fuzzell, serves more than 600 locations in the U.S. The company received an investment from the BMW Group and intends to use the funds to further expand operations. As part of the transaction, a strategic integration between BMW Group’s prepaid parking solution ParkNow and Parkmobile will take place. The combined service will be made available for inclusion into connected vehicles of all OEMs. ParkNow, currently operating in San Francisco, allows drivers to find and book off-street parking in advance and offers discounted rates and valet service. Parkmobile offers a mobile payment system enabling motorists to pay for parking through a smartphone app, an online account, or a toll-free number, and provides digital parking permits to municipalities, universities and private operators. Led by CEO Cherie Fuzzell, the company launched in the U.S. in 2009 and is based in Atlanta, GA. Its solutions are deployed in more than 400 cities, universities, commercial and transit locations worldwide, including Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Indianapolis and Houston. The company closed a $6.3M financing and plans to use the proceeds to further expand globally. Registration is free for members, who can pay via the mobile app, internet, or phone.
