Temo develops lightweight, portable electric motors designed to replace heavy, gas‑guzzling, and noisy outboard engines used on dinghies, rowing boats, and small sailboats. The company emphasizes ease of use and portability—motors that can be carried by bike and quickly attached for quiet, short journeys to larger vessels. It currently offers two power models and plans to develop three new motors by 2027 to cover more small sailing yachts and recreational craft; some models may be left permanently on boats depending on buyers. Temo says its motors can be charged anywhere (at home, in the marina, or at the bar) and do not require special infrastructure. The startup targets individual boat owners and fleet operators, selling mainly in Europe (France, UK, Italy, Spain) and is preparing to enter North America. Financially, Temo raised €6 million (about $6.5 million) in its Series A, bringing total funding to €7.5 million; the company currently has a team of 15 and plans to hire about 100 more people over the next five years.
