MOV.AI provides a Robotics Engine Platform for Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) that separates software from hardware. The platform offers enterprise-grade tools for AMR manufacturers to quickly develop and differentiate robots and for automation integrators to deploy solutions in days while ensuring secure, uninterrupted operation in changing environments. Led by CEO Motti Kushnir, the company targets both AMR manufacturers and automation integrators. MOV.AI plans to use the $8.2M in new funding to accelerate product delivery, meet customer demand, and engage with the ROS developer community. The round was led by Bowe Group with participation from State of Mind Ventures, NFX, and Viola Ventures, and includes new board additions from Bowe Group and Red Ledge North America. MOV.AI is based in Tel Aviv and also operates from Augsburg, Germany and Lisbon, Portugal. MOV.AI offers an enterprise-grade ROS development and runtime environment that enables hardware-software separation to simplify development and implementation of robotic systems. Its system includes a graphical interface for describing robotic behavior, autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, and safety-compliance features. The company targets cobot deployments across logistics and manufacturing verticals, including fashion, food, hospitality, postal automation and automotive manufacturing. Led by CEO Motti Kushnir, MOV.AI currently focuses sales in Western Europe (England, Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark and Ireland) with initial sales in Singapore and the USA. The company plans to use new funding to accelerate product development and to establish a customer support group to better serve customers. To date the company has raised a total of $8M. MOV.AI develops an industry-grade, ROS-compatible operating system intended to decouple robot hardware from software and simplify R&D and deployment of autonomous fleets. The platform targets mapping, robust autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, cloud-based software distribution, safety and cybersecurity best practices, and a modern end-user interface. MOV.AI aims to create an ecosystem where developers, integrators, and manufacturers collaborate to produce scalable, smarter robots. Its primary customers are manufacturers of material handling equipment, automation integrators, and other collaborative robot makers. The company says it is currently piloting projects with large automation integrators and industrial operators. Financially, MOV.AI has raised $3M in seed funding to advance product development and ecosystem growth.
