Canoe Financial LP established operations with the acquisition of management of the publicly traded $1.4 billion Canoe EIT Income Fund.     Gravity Renewables is a Boulder-based hydropower project operator and developer focused on small hydroelectric plants. The company acquires and refurbishes small hydroelectric facilities across the United States. Documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission show Gravity has raised a total of US$3,161,600, including a recently closed second round of financing. The new capital will be used to acquire and refurbish small hydroelectric plants nationwide. Gravity currently has 28 MW of hydroelectric capacity in operation or being developed across the U.S. COO Ted Rose said the financing demonstrates continued investor support for Gravity and the small hydropower industry.
