MoCanna operates the byMinistry brand, a cannabis-forward platform that combines cultural, educational and premium retail experiences. The company is developing a flagship byMinistry location in Toronto (850 Adelaide St. West) scheduled to open in early 2020 and plans multiple properties across North America over the next five years. Offerings are designed to integrate verticals where permitted by law, including dispensaries, consumption lounges, cultural programming, educational properties, experiential retail and CBD convenience stores. byMinistry will also launch an in-house line of premium adaptogenic and CBD-derived food and health/wellness products to be sold throughout North America. Leadership includes founder and chairman Lorne Gertner and CEO Shauna Levy. Financially, MoCanna completed a $4 million (CAD) seed round in December 2018 and is raising a Series A led by Canopy Growth.
