  inBed.me operates a social booking service focused on budget/student travel and hostels, allowing users to book rooms, share bookings, and view fellow guests to coordinate meetups. The company currently lists about 1,200 hostels on its platform and has announced a partnership to integrate Hostelworld’s database, opening access to roughly 25,000 hostels. Founded last year, it is co-headquartered in Bogota, Colombia and New York and participated in Startup Weekend New York, Startup Chile, and NXTP Labs. Advisors include Viator Travel founder Rod Cuthbert. inBed.me plans to integrate with additional social networks beyond Facebook, develop iOS and Android apps, and pursue targeted geographic expansion starting in South America with Europe to follow. It raised a seed round to fund these product and expansion plans.

  AwayFind provides an email-productivity service that lets users configure when and how to be alerted about urgent emails, delivering notifications via SMS, phone calls, and smartphone apps. The company targets business customers and has launched a professional-grade product in the Google Apps Marketplace with an integrated Gmail gadget and an administration control panel for IT provisioning. AwayFind uses oAuth for Google Apps email checking and is fully PCI compliant. It offers subscription plans including business plans starting at $10 per month, a $5/month personal plan (reduced from $15) that sends alerts within five minutes, and Pro and Max tiers for faster alerts or multiple accounts. Integration with Gmail is designed to take around a minute and adds links to messages to follow people or topics. Financially, the company recently closed an $800,000 seed round.
