  Founded in 2014, Lendable operates an online platform that lets consumers apply for and manage unsecured personal loans without paper applications or branch visits. The company says it is the top issuer of personal loans in the U.K. and has originated more than £10 billion in consumer credit assets since launch. Recent results show strong growth: profits rose 120% to $155 million and revenues increased 90% to $608 million. Lendable reported issuing more new personal loans last year than any other bank in the U.K. and also issued the second-largest number of new credit cards. The company has signaled international ambitions, including reported plans for U.S. expansion, and previously raised $275 million in March 2022 at a $4.5 billion valuation to support product development and growth.
