Japan DX operates a data-driven inbound platform focused on Chinese visitors, leveraging a partnership with Ctrip to use big-data traffic for customer acquisition and targeting. The company is building a system for pre-booking duty-free products that travelers can purchase before their trip and pick up at airports via designated lockers. Initial integration targets Haneda Airport with plans to expand to other major domestic airports and transport hubs. Beyond duty-free pickup, Japan DX plans services including self-duty-free operations, VIP inbound offerings (medical and study-abroad services), financial products such as insurance, and promotion/traffic services for municipalities and commercial facilities. The partnership cites Ctrip’s global user base of about 400 million as a source of traffic. Japan DX was founded in April 2021 and is headquartered in Minato, Tokyo.
