The Civet is a mammal small, omnivorous, with excellent hearing and vision and very prolific . Inspired by these characteristics a business group of the Internet world came together in 2013 to bring these features to the Internet investment. Civet Investment SA is a company established in March 2013 with the objective of investing in technology startups. They seek investments with high growth potential where they can bring something more than capital: What they call Smart Money or Smart Money. Thanks to the experience of their founders and members of the board, try their entrance as partners in a company contribution experience, advice and support arising from synergies between projects which they are partners. The company raised $20M in a Series B round. Genial.ly is a platform for creating visual and interactive content with over 25 content types and more than 1,000 templates and thousands of free resources. The product emphasizes interactivity for presentations, infographics, gamifications and educational experiences. It has grown rapidly since its 2015 founding and reports more than 3 million registered users worldwide and clients in over 100 countries. Genial.ly has offices in Córdoba, Madrid, Málaga and New York and has seen particular traction in education, marketing and media. The company plans to use the new financing to expand in key markets such as the U.S., grow the team, and continue product development. Genial.ly offers a platform that enables users to create interactive content without programming. The company will use the funds to boost international user acquisition and continue developing its technology platform. Since launching in May 2015, Genial.ly says it has doubled its user base monthly and now has more than 20,000 users across 75 countries. The startup was accelerated in the first Founder's Institute Andalucía cohort. Genial.ly is headquartered in Córdoba. It recently closed a €300,000 funding round to support its growth plans.

Brokerstars develops social and financial games. The company agreed a first financing tranche of €183,000 from Civeta, Gonzalo Ruiz, North Global Synergies and several business angels via a coinvestment agreement. It plans to complete the round with an additional €48,000 through an equity crowdfunding campaign on the Swedish platform FundedByMe. The crowdfunding will allow anyone to buy shares with a minimum investment of €40. Brokerstars and FundedByMe will present the campaign in Madrid on January 30 to answer investor questions. FundedByMe was announced in Spain at the end of 2013.
