E-Farm operates a digital agribusiness marketplace that manages transactions for secondhand farm machinery and layers on inspection, warranty, insurance and payment services to simplify resale. The platform connects around 750 partner dealers across Europe and the team is about thirty employees. Since its 2015 founding the Hamburg-based startup has handled transactions across more than 50 markets worth around €25 million ($29.4 million). Quality assessments on the platform are independently carried out by DEKRA, and the company offers financing, customs and transport services to facilitate cross-border deals. E-Farm provides a payment-on-delivery solution described as a “Klarna for farm machinery” and emphasizes platform neutrality despite manufacturer investors. Future plans include refinancing and spare-parts offerings and development of price-prediction software using deep learning in partnership with Peltarion to automate valuations.
