- Eliyan
Participated · Equity · Jan 2026
Eliyan develops advanced connectivity technologies including silicon-proven NuLink™ PHYs and NuGear™ chiplet families that target I/O, memory-expansion and power-efficiency challenges in modern compute infrastructure. The company is expanding into optical interconnect to complement its existing electrical interconnect portfolio and to support heterogeneous, co-packaged, and bandwidth-intensive compute fabrics. Eliyan positions its platform to span intra-package electrical interconnects through system-level optical fabrics for scale-up and scale-in AI networks. The company is led by CEO and Co-Founder Ramin Farjadrad and is based in Santa Clara, California. Financially, Eliyan raised $145 million in a Series C at a $1 billion valuation. It plans to use the new capital to accelerate product and interconnect development, broaden ecosystem partnerships, and scale manufacturing.
- SiOnyx
Participated · Series B · Oct 2010
SiOnyx develops ultra-low-light silicon photonics and CMOS image sensors marketed under the XQE family that dramatically enhance infrared sensitivity for high-performance imaging. Its flagship consumer product is the Aurora, an HD action camera offering true full-color day and night imaging and IP67 waterproofing. Aurora is based on SiOnyx's Ultra Low Light technology, which the company says is protected by more than 40 patents and was previously available only in very high-end night-vision optics. The company says it has cost‑reduced that identical technology for use in Aurora and other upcoming devices with partners. Aurora pairs with free iOS and Android companion apps for real-time review and remote control and includes GPS, accelerometer and compass sensors. SiOnyx was founded in 2006 by Professor Eric Mazur and Dr. James Carey and is based in Beverly, Massachusetts. Financially, the Aurora campaign raised more than $300k on Indiegogo, surpassing an initial $50k funding goal. SiOnyx is an innovator in high-performance photonics based in Beverly, MA. The company is commercializing a new semiconductor processing technique designed to produce smaller, higher-performing silicon photonic devices. It is working with a number of industry and government partners to advance adoption of its technology. SiOnyx plans to use the new funding to launch its first commercial products and to expand the suite of solutions offered to strategic partners. The company recently completed a $12.5M Series B financing that will support commercialization and product expansion. Investors in the round include Coherent Inc., Crosslink Capital, Vulcan Capital, Polaris Venture Partners and Harris & Harris.
