Filament Labs develops Patient IO, a care-plan delivery platform that helps health professionals create fully customizable mobile care plans delivered to patients and caregivers. Patient IO synthesizes multiple providers' plans into a unified daily task list, sends treatment-specific tasks, reminders and educational content, and provides a web dashboard and APIs for clinicians to monitor adherence and patient-submitted data in real time. The product is designed to modernize paper-based care plans, improve patient engagement and lower costs for accountable providers, and the company is already working with Corinthian Health Services and Arcadia Home Care. As of April 1, 2014 Patient IO had been deployed to approximately 4,000 patients, with plans to deploy to another 4,000 patients in June. Financially, Filament Labs raised a $1M seed round led by Mercury Fund and previously raised $160K through the Techstars Austin program. Filament Labs was founded in March 2013 and is based in Austin, Texas.
