Seares, founded in 2018, develops Seadamp mechatronic dampers for mooring boats and floating structures that recover energy from wave motion to improve comfort and safety. The company emerged from incubation at the Technological Pole of Lucca and collaborates with the Technological Pole of Navacchio to produce and market its systems. Seares emphasizes a linear, elegant design, 'Made in Italy' production, high-quality components, recyclable materials and biodegradable oils. The startup has received multiple awards, including the 2020 Innovation2live award of Enercom and 3rd place at the Company Prize Gaetano Marzotto, alongside earlier recognitions such as the CNA Changes and Marine Equipment Design Award. It has an agreement with Vittoria Assicurazioni that validated its products for greater mooring safety and provides customers with insurance discounts. A recent €400K seed capital increase will support its industrial plan by strengthening its commercial network, expanding production capacity with a move to new headquarters in Livorno, and completing new patents.
