Oneiro announced the appointment of Dhesi Ananchaperumal as CEO to lead its next phase of growth. To date, Oneiro has received $8 million in venture capital, including a $3 million seed in February 2018 and the newly announced $5 million Series A. Oneiro Ltd. is a blockchain technology firm focused on creating a global cryptocurrency designed and optimized for the long-term store of value. The company is developing technologies around decentralized, secure, and dependable cryptocurrency and positions its technology as integral to the market's future. Nova Leah is a spin-out from Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) and is led by CEO Anita Finnegan; it is based in Dundalk, Ireland. Nova Leah develops SelectEvidence, a cybersecurity risk-management software built to help medical device manufacturers and healthcare providers implement and maintain device cybersecurity requirements. SelectEvidence was developed over a five-year R&D programme at Dundalk Institute of Technology. The company is initially targeting imaging and electro-medical device sectors in the US and maintains an office in Boston. Management is led by CEO Anita Finnegan and Lero researcher Dr Fergal McCaffery is a non-executive director. Nova Leah cites faster market deployment, reduced compliance costs and fewer recalls as key benefits and has early customers including Irish device manufacturer Orreco. Financially, the company rounded up €420,000 in funding including a €250,000 investment from Cosimo Venture Partners and a €172,000 Enterprise Ireland payment.
