Mypinpad is a UK (Welsh) fintech that offers B2B SaaS software to enable secure payments on the move. Its core product suite focuses on secure mobile-transaction solutions for merchants and other businesses. The company currently operates across twenty markets. Mypinpad has raised $13 million in a round led by Crossfin Holdings to fund expansion of its SaaS offering. Management says the investment will accelerate growth, strengthen global reach, and potentially enable expansion into new verticals. Leadership frames the capital as market recognition of the company’s value proposition and track record, and expects the round to open relationships with Crossfin’s portfolio companies. Licentia Group provides technology services and IP licensing to the payments sector through its subsidiaries Mypinpad and Myhsm. Mypinpad delivers payment acceptance and customer authentication software, including an Open mPOS cloud-hosted solution that enables merchants, acquirers and PSPs to deploy PIN on Mobile without undertaking their own PCI SPoC certification. Myhsm offers a dedicated direct hosting service of Thales payShield Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) for the global payments sector. The company is led by Chairman and CEO Philip King. In October 2018 Licentia completed a Series B raise and said it would use proceeds to facilitate global expansion and to scale Sales, Support and Technical Development teams. Planned team expansion includes hires in London and in Cardiff.
