Streamdal provides visibility and actionable monitoring for streaming data architectures, alerting on anomalies, transforming in-flight data, and reprocessing broken data on the fly. The platform uses AI, including NLP, to detect and act on personally identifiable information in streams (for example, redaction). The company maintains an open source package, Plumber, which has been downloaded over 150,000 times and helps teams inspect streams and connect disparate streaming systems. Streamdal counts Recharge and ParkMobile among its paying customers and operates with a ten-person team. The founders, Daniel Selans and Ustin Zarubin, drew on engineering experience at New Relic, InVision, DigitalOcean and Community.com. The company is a Y Combinator graduate and has raised venture funding to support product development, go-to-market efforts and strategic hires.
