SaveLive was launched in 2020 to buy majority stakes in dozens of struggling small music clubs across the U.S. and help them weather the pandemic. The venture is led by music industry executive Marc Geiger, who co-founded the company with former WME colleague John Fogelman. The company originally said it had raised $75 million at launch; an amended SEC filing shows SaveLive has secured $134.5 million from nine investors. Beverly Hills-based Deep Field Asset Management is identified as the primary backer, and Jordan Moelis of Deep Field is listed as a director. Nadia Prescher joined SaveLive last year as head of music to support its operations. The model has drawn praise from artists like Trent Reznor but also concerns that consolidation could diminish venue independence; SaveLive did not respond to requests for comment.
