Solaborate develops all‑in‑one HELLO devices and a cloud communication platform that convert any Smart TV into a voice‑controlled video collaboration endpoint. HELLO devices combine compute, microphones and speakers and require only HDMI and power to operate. The product supports many conferencing platforms, including Microsoft Teams, Google Hangouts Meet, Zoom, Skype and Cisco WebEx. Solaborate’s technology includes a patented auto echo‑cancellation delay and built‑in hack‑proof privacy controls with end‑to‑end encryption. After two successful Kickstarter campaigns, the company is pursuing commercial partnerships to scale distribution and OEM productization. The founders are targeting the $6.7 billion telepresence and video communication category amid broader market growth forecasts. Solaborate is a social networking platform that connects technology professionals and companies. Led by founder and CEO Labinot Bytyqi, the platform enables users to post questions, share documents and presentations, chat, video conference, and provide best practices. Users can follow other professionals, companies, products and services, access knowledge, search and apply for jobs and opportunities, preview product demos, and provide commentary. The platform is built on Microsoft Windows Azure and uses HTML5, WebSockets and WebRTC for real-time communication, and integrates with LinkedIn, Facebook, Google+ and Twitter. Solaborate launched in beta at the time of the article. Financially, the company raised over $1M in seed funding from unnamed angel and individual investors.
