Engage is a Nigerian startup founded by Opeyemi Obembe and Victor Eduoh that provides a super-platform for transactional customer messaging with segmentation, personalization and analytics. The product integrates customers' existing messaging infrastructure (MailGun, Amazon SES) and messaging providers (Twilio, Termii, Hollatags), plus payment integrations (Paystack, Flutterwave, Stripe) to automate payment-related messages. The current product is an MVP aimed at tech companies that engage up to 200,000 customers per month. Engage charges up to $100 per month for companies using the platform. The team is a small group (Obembe refers to a band of five) and the company positions itself as focused on transactional messages rather than broad marketing blasts. The founders plan to take customer feedback from early users and scale the product in the coming months.
