  Red Dot Payment is a Singapore-based payment gateway startup founded by a team of ex‑Visa and MasterCard executives. Its core product is an online payments gateway supplemented by services such as online invoicing, recurring payments, alternative payment methods and bespoke client integrations. The company also provides dedicated solutions for hotels and the hospitality industry. It previously raised an undisclosed Series A and has taken investment from Indonesia-based operator Telkomsel. With the $5.2M Series B, Red Dot plans to invest in R&D and technology solutions and to grow its team and capabilities across Asia. Competitors in the region include 2C2P, Omise and Midtrans. Red Dot Payment provides a secure processing gateway for e-commerce merchants to offer complete payment options for customers worldwide. Founded in 2011 by Randy Tan and based in Singapore, the company serves banks, merchants, payment schemes, payment gateways, non-banking financial institutions and security and fraud management system providers. Its core product is a payment processing gateway that enables secure transactions across multiple payment methods. In May 2014 Red Dot Payment received a Series A of undisclosed size from backers including GMO Global Payment Fund and Wavemaker Pacific. The company intends to use the funds to continue expanding its operations.
