Smithfield Case is a London-based online personalized clothing service for men that delivers curated cases of clothing for at-home try-on. Customers create an online profile with style and brand preferences and sizes; after an order a personal stylist develops sets of looks and sizes which are delivered in a case. Customers try the clothes at home, keep and pay for what they want, while the remainder are collected at a pre-arranged time free of charge. The company launched nationwide in February 2012 and was started by Jose Ojeda and Alex Valls. Smithfield Case raised £650K in seed funding which has enabled key hires and supported marketing and customer acquisition activities. In conjunction with the funding, Pierre Lamuniere joined the board and advisors include Hash Ladha and Andrew Robb.
