The premium pet-food category in Brazil is growing faster than the broader market, and Pet Delícia is positioned to capture part of that R$12 billion segment.

Brota, founded in 2020 by Bruno Arouca, Juan Correa and Rodrigo Farina, sells seedlings and urban-horticulture products that adapt to city environments. The company uses its own agronomic technology and has launched eight new decoration and edible items, including foliage, mushrooms and salad leaves; product development averages about 50 days. Brota reports it doubled revenue last year, improved margins by more than 40 points, and reached 50,000 customers. It has moved into retail in 2023 with partnerships with Leroy Merlin, Cobasi, Zona Sul and Supermercados Varanda to expand its physical presence across Brazil. Management says the new funding will be used to double revenue again and consolidate the brand in brick-and-mortar channels. The CEO, Rodrigo Farina, also states the startup is already worth more than R$10 billion in Brazil.

Management intends to deploy the new capital mainly for commercial growth and technology development.
