Ondango offers a Facebook commerce platform that lets merchants create storefronts on Facebook pages, choose payment methods (PayPal, credit card, etc.), and integrate logistics via an API to reduce checkout steps. The product includes a social "should I get it" feature that creates Timeline stories for social recommendations; currently Ondango stores remain separate pages rather than integrated into Timelines. The company targets smaller merchants in fashion, sport, design and music merchandising/concert tickets and supports 14 languages with an international customer base (about 60% in Germany). Ondango went live 11 months ago and works with over 400 customers; average order value is about $35 and average conversion rate on its stores is 1.3%. Pricing starts at €12.99 per month per shop, with roughly 80% of customers on the basic plan, 15% on the next tier, and 5% on premium. The company is planning a push into the U.S. next year to grow its merchant base.
