- Whirla
Led · Seed · Jul 2021
Whirla builds an integrated smart-office system combining PIR infrared sensors, LED indicators, NFC tags, QR codes and AI-driven software to monitor desk and office-space usage in real time. The product includes a back-end management dashboard with tools, statistics, reports and recommendations, plus a mobile app for users to reserve and check in to desks. Hardware can be mains-powered or run on batteries with up to a one-year life; the sensors enable automated removal of unclaimed reservations and usage analytics. Whirla completed a pilot implementation in Colliers’ Warsaw offices and is actively selling and installing its solution. The company plans to upgrade its software to manage entire office spaces (not just flexible desks and conference rooms) and to invest in business development and partner cooperation. Whirla was founded in 2016, has three co-founders and six full-time employees, and as of June 2021 was not actively hiring.
