    Led · Series B · Mar 2018

Yogome provides a digital learning and children’s education platform with a content portfolio of over 2,000 games, interactive books, and videos developed around nine key subjects for learners ages four to ten. Its content is offered in six languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. The platform reports 6 million monthly active users across more than 50 countries, with a majority of subscribers located in the United States, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Yogome was founded by Manolo Diaz and Alberto Colin and is based in Mexico and San Francisco, CA. The company raised $26.9M in a Series B to accelerate growth into new markets, including China, Japan, Korea, and the Philippines. It plans to use the funds to expand academic content and grow its subscriber base. Yogome offers a subscription-based educational gaming service for iOS and Android tablets (soon to be available on desktop browsers) targeting children aged 6–11. Its library of mini-games covers eight subjects — from math to coding to health — and is available in four languages. The games are developed with educational experts and Yogome worked with Yale University to measure the efficacy of its math games for first graders. The app is free to download with a limited trial (25 credits ≈ 2 hours); parents pay monthly or yearly subscriptions for unlimited access and use a separate parent dashboard. About 95% of subscribers are in the U.S., Latin America, and Southeast Asia, and the product has seen uptake in more than 50 countries. Yogome is pursuing geographic expansion (China, Korea, Japan) and aims to reach 1 million subscribers. Yogome develops educational games for children ages 6–12 for iPhone, iPad and browser platforms. The company aims to help kids learn and discover the world through games and works with a board of pedagogical advisors to maintain high educational standards. Founded by Manolo Diaz and Alberto Colin from San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Yogome combines educational rigor with engaging gameplay. The company joined the Mountain View-based 500 Startups Accelerator and will receive up to $100k in funding as part of the program. Accelerator participation also provides access to a network of designers and mentors to support product and growth. Yogome is additionally backed by angel investor David Weekly.
