Flow Eighteen38 is a protein sciences division created to facilitate and accelerate antibody characterization and protein purification projects. It operates as part of FairJourney Biologics and supports partners across discovery workflows. The division announced a €5 million (c.$5.58M) investment to expand its protein production and biophysical characterization capabilities. Planned upgrades include a dedicated fit-for-purpose laboratory, over 15 high-end ÄKTA FPLC systems to scale and double purification capacity, and high-throughput QC instrumentation. The funding will also be used to add LabChip GX Touch for CE-SDS, a Thermo Scientific Vanquish UHPLC, an FDA-licensed Endosafe nexgen-MCS for endotoxin testing, and two BioAccord LC-MS systems for biopharmaceutical analysis. Flow Eighteen38 will recruit additional staff, expand cold storage and logistics, and continue supplying antibody reagents compliant with new EU recommendations while extending support into pre-CMC stages.
