  • Ardara Distillery

    Led · Equity · Sep 2025

Ardara Distillery (operated by Sliabh Liag Distillers) produces Irish whisky and filled its first whisky cask in 2022; its inaugural bottling was released recently. The company is scaling production and required additional operating capital to grow its whisky business. It received a €15 million working-capital facility from Ferovinum to support those expansion needs. The financing is inventory‑secured, allowing the distillery to access funds while retaining control and avoiding equity dilution. Ferovinum positions its platform as a way to empower producers to scale sustainably without compromising quality. Ferovinum has previously invested in Holyrood Distillery and Borders Distillery; this is its first investment in Irish whiskey, reflecting confidence in Irish distillers’ blend of tradition and innovation.

  • The Borders Distillery

    Led · Equity · Apr 2024

Borders Distillery Company operates a distillery site in Hawick and is the first to run in the Scottish Borders since 1837. The company is preparing to release its inaugural single malt and is growing the business in advance of that release. To support growth over the next three years, the distillery has agreed a £35m funding package with Ferovinum. Ferovinum will provide operations and supply chain tools to support trading in the UK, Europe and the US. Access to the Ferovinum platform includes integration with freight, storage and fulfilment providers, payments, licensing and commercial infrastructure. The distillery and its investor say they share ambitions to grow and a commitment to deploy technology to facilitate expansion in multiple markets.

  • Holyrood Distillery

    Led · Equity · Jan 2024

Holyrood Distillery, opened in 2019 in Edinburgh, produces new make spirit and bottles including the Height of Arrows Gin, Elizabeth Yard Rum and its inaugural single malt, Arrival. In October the distillery launched Arrival, one of the first single malts produced in Edinburgh in a century. To support domestic and international growth, Holyrood has secured a £2m funding package with Ferovinum to release capital from its maturing cask inventory. The funding will be used primarily to buy new-fill casks and to carry cased goods to overseas markets. Ferovinum’s platform holds ring‑fenced assets during production, storage and distribution and integrates with supply chain and logistics functions. Holyrood’s management said they chose Ferovinum for its specialist, hands-on support as they pursue ambitious growth plans.
