Verifi Media offers a music metadata tracking and management service and a broader product suite that includes enterprise blockchain, cloud computing, AI, data scoring, and media watermarking. The company launched its music metadata service in June 2020 in a partnership with distributor Fuga. Verifi began life as Dot Blockchain before rebranding to its current name. While the music industry remains its core focus, Verifi intends to expand into other media sectors with the support of new investors. The company says it will use the new funding to continue developing its products and capabilities. CEO Ken Umezaki has indicated that involvement from media-rights firm Fintage House will help drive that expansion beyond music.
