Psilera is a biopharmaceutical company developing novel neuroplastogens and psychedelic-derived therapies, headquartered in Tampa, Fla. Its lead compound, PSIL-006, is described as a first-in-class neuroplastogen designed to capture therapeutic benefits of traditional psychedelics while minimizing hallucinogenic and cardiovascular effects. The company plans to advance PSIL-006 into first-in-human trials in 2027 and is using its recent financing to support that transition to clinical-stage development. Psilera has secured an NIH award of up to $2 million for IND-enabling studies in alcohol use disorder and executed a strategic licensing agreement with atai Life Sciences (now AtaiBeckley) for a DMT patent portfolio. Recent corporate developments include the appointment of Magali Haas, MD/PhD, as Chief Medical Officer as Psilera scales operations toward clinical milestones.
