  • RxDiet

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2024

RxDiet uses AI to create medically tailored meal plans, combining fresh ingredients, behavioral support, and personalization for individual medical needs and taste preferences. The company delivers meals directly to patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes and hypertension and partners with national grocery chains to provide locally sourced ingredients for patients to prepare meals. RxDiet has partnered with two of the three largest U.S. health insurers, whose plans fully cover the program’s cost. Results in Aetna programs show a 97 Net Promoter Score and a 76% app usage rate among seniors with an average age over 78. Co‑founded by Roman Kalista and Jan Skvaril, the New York‑based company raised a $3 million seed round to scale operations. RxDiet plans to use the funding to expand its team, strengthen its grocery network, offer services to more healthcare payers, and launch a low-cost digital tool this year that insurers can offer broadly.

  • People Science

    Participated · Seed · Jan 2023

People Science builds CHLOE (the Consumer Health Learning and Organizing Ecosystem), a modular software technology that combines a consumer-facing mobile app with a clinical research platform to study alternative medicines. The platform connects consumers, doctors and scientists and lets consumers explore which alternative medicines work best for them. Companies and other researchers engage People Science to test ideas and products directly or by licensing CHLOE. Sponsored clinical studies using CHLOE began in late 2022, with a goal of launching the app to the public in early 2023. The company is led by co-CEOs Belinda Tan and Noah Craft. It recently raised additional seed funding to accelerate CHLOE development, expand consumer features, grow its client licensing pipeline and scale the team for customer growth and retention.
