AmnioLife is a research and development organization focused on placental-derived technologies with a GxP manufacturing program at its Gainesville, Fla. facility. The company has commercialized a suite of minimally manipulated tissue products that are sold through established global sales channel partners. In 2015 AmnioLife launched a human DBM product line, secured a patent for its collagen membrane preservation process, and added key staff. The company also launched an osteobiologics product portfolio in the fourth quarter of 2015. AmnioLife said it will use the Series A capital to expand and enhance its existing product portfolio and to support additional manufacturing initiatives related to its osteobiologics products. The Series A financing and recent operational developments were presented as setting the foundation for growth in 2016.
