Ducky provides a suite of products built on climate and environmental research data, including a personal climate calculator, climate psychology learning, and team competitions to reduce emissions. The platform is used by businesses, organisations, and schools to engage people in sustainability efforts. Founded in 2014 and based in Trondheim with offices in Oslo and Stoke, UK, Ducky has had 15,000 participants in its competitions. Its algorithm, developed with climate researchers, reports an average 32% improvement in sustainable behaviour after campaign periods. The company has attracted substantial inbound interest after a TED talk mention and receives weekly requests from organisations in the US, UK, Europe and Asia. Ducky says new funding will help meet growing demand and support its international launch while pursuing a commercial, scalable business model.
