GFO is set up as an organizational structure to manage the financial and personal affairs of the Gastauer family members.The single-family office is driven purely by the needs and preferences of the Gastauer Family. Its purpose is to manage the substantial asset structure through global hedge strategies. Assets are managed via a broad mandate to trade and invest in a variety of global markets and financial instruments.The Gastauer Family Office has a venture capital arm investing in FinTech companies.

WB21 operates a real-time money transfer system that facilitates payments for businesses and consumers in 18 currencies to 180 countries, with recipients having funds credited instantly to their bank accounts. Users can transact via account balances, bank accounts, or credit cards and pay approximately ten times less than usual bank charges. The company was co-founded by Michael Gastauer, Peter Arnold, and Aby Sousa. WB21 raised €2m in VC funding and will use the proceeds to expand operations. The investment was made by the Gasteur Family Office, which recently launched a €50m venture capital investment fund.
