  Pat McGrath Labs develops and sells high-end cosmetics that emphasize innovative formulations and runway-inspired color stories. The company, founded by legendary makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath, recently marked its tenth anniversary and has historically enjoyed strong brand cachet, once being valued at more than $1 billion following a $60 million investment from Eurazeo in 2018. However, operational challenges led the firm to file for Chapter 11 protection in the Southern District of Florida, listing estimated liabilities between $50 million and $100 million. Despite the restructuring, McGrath remains the creative director and a significant shareholder, and management is planning a fresh slate of product launches beginning in Q1 2026. The brand also aims to deepen relationships with key global retail partners to reignite growth. Prior investors have included Eurazeo and Sienna Investment Managers, the latter of which marked down its stake by 88 percent in 2024, implying a valuation near $174 million and signaling an intent to exit in 2025.
