Leap Medical Inc. is a Montreal-based McGill University spin-off developing a technology aimed at non-invasively detecting brain injuries and infections. Its platform is intended for rapid detection of brain injuries and infection and is entering initial human validation. The company secured CDN$1.025M in seed financing to support development and validation efforts. The seed round was co-led by MSBi Valorisation, BDC Venture Capital and GO Capital Fund. The financing was also supported by a grant from the Quebec Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade (MDEIE) and a loan from the CQVB. The capital infusion should enable the company to complete initial human validation of its platform technology.
