Boxful provides an on-demand storage service launched in January 2015 that lets customers stash goods in warehouses and schedule pickup and delivery via mobile apps. The company handles its own logistics and uses storage facilities slightly out of town to lower rent and improve unit efficiency; it uses standard boxes that can be stacked to maximize warehouse space. Pricing starts at around HK$29 per month per box and includes free pickup and delivery. Boxful said it has "thousands" of users, mostly household customers, though the CEO expects growing adoption among SMEs. The company raised a $1.5M seed earlier in the year and is using new funding to grow logistics, hire staff and boost its tech capabilities. Management plans to focus on Hong Kong first and run small-scale tests to expand into other Asian markets next year.
