IPG Energy develops the IPG Flameless Generator, a pollutant-free, fuel-agnostic power product used today to replace diesel generators. The company targets markets including construction and off-grid EV charging, citing validation with National Highways for unlocking EV charging in grid-constrained locations. IPG was awarded a £50,000 grant as one of 40 SMEs in the Clean Futures Accelerator to work with the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) on a manufacturing blueprint. The project will produce a digital simulation that will form part of a full digital twin to enable low-risk, cost-effective scaled production. The blueprint targets an optimized 10,000 sq ft assembly facility capable of producing up to 1,000 units, benchmarked against IPG’s existing assembly facility that delivers up to 50 units per year. IPG will use current assembly procedures, layouts and tooling to develop designs for assembly and manufacture (DfA/DfM) to scale production domestically and globally with minimal capital outlay. IPG is a London, UK-based climate tech company led by CEO Toby Gill. The company has developed a flameless generator that produces pollutant-free power from any fuel using its Flameless Combustion technology. IPG positions the solution as an alternative to diesel generators used across construction, mining, data centres and grid balancing. It completed a prototype project with National Highways and Cranfield University, where the pollutant-free and fuel-flexible benefits of the generator were proven. IPG raised £1M in funding and intends to use the proceeds to deliver the next phase of customer demonstration trials with its minimal viable product (MVP) to early adopter customers. The company is pursuing commercial validation through those demonstration trials with its growing list of early adopters. Intelligent Power Generation is advancing the Flameless Ceramic Turbine, a 100kW modular generator designed to deliver pollutant-free power from any fuel and enable transitions to hydrogen and biogas. The turbine is intended to operate with efficiencies comparable to centralized power plants while remaining cost-competitive with diesel generators. IPG says the technology can reduce the environmental impact of fuel-based power and support distributed power deployments. The company is led by CEO Toby Gill and is working with leading universities, government agencies and pioneering companies to bring the technology to market. Financially, IPG completed a £2.0M first close of its Series A and plans to raise a further £1.0–2.5M before final close; the funds will be used to continue development of the turbine technology.
