Hive is a productivity software platform that positions itself as a community-built project management and collaboration tool for teams of all sizes. The company runs a public product roadmap where users request and vote on features; the engineering team prioritizes work based on those votes. Hive says two in three users will get a feature they requested built within their first year. One of its community-driven products, Hive Notes, debuted as a standalone collaborative note-taking and task-management app for Zoom Meetings. Customers named in the article include teams at Anthem, Comcast, Electronic Arts and Toyota. Led by co-founder and CEO John Furneaux, the company will use the new funding to continue building the software platform. Hive provides a real-time productivity platform that includes chat, tasks, email, notes and analytics for senior managers. Led by CEO and cofounder John Furneaux, the company was launched from accelerator AngelPad. Hive serves customers including Starbucks, Google, WeWork, Uber and the United States Government. The company plans to add features to automate email management by identifying next steps and assigning tasks, to turn recurring meetings into real-time notes with automatic recaps and next-step assignments, and to auto-suggest project plans from a large library of projects. Hive raised a $10.6m Series A and intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach. The round brought total funding to date to $16.7m. Hive is a New York City–based work management platform founded in 2015 and led by CEO John Furneaux. The company offers a mobile-first platform that centralizes teamwork and automates repeatable processes across applications. In one year it has reached over 2,000 enterprise teams, with customers including Pinterest, WeWork, HBO, Expedia, Salesforce, Nike, The Economist, and Harvard University. Hive plans to use the new funding to expand its business reach, add engineering resources (led by former Googlers), and extend its mobile-first platform to include email and calendaring. The company previously raised $1.3m in January 2016 from Tribeca Venture Partners and angels from Google and Grey Group. The current update is the $4m funding round announced in October 2017. Hive is an NYC-based provider of a team collaboration platform that puts all a team's actions, messages and files on one page. Its platform uses machine learning to automatically send actions to the right person and equips them with the tools on their dashboard to complete tasks. Hive integrates with over 90 SaaS tools including Salesforce and Zendesk, and with file stores like Box and Google Drive. The product is used by more than 250 companies, from small businesses to customers such as Pinterest and Deloitte. The company was co-founded by John Furneaux (ex-Global Head of Customer Success at huddle.com) and Eric Typaldos (ex-White House and Oracle platform architect) and graduated from AngelPad in December 2015. Hive raised $1.4M in seed funding and intends to use the proceeds to deliver Hive AI v2.
