Founded in 2015 by Mihir Mohan and Nirant Ramakuru, Pitstop operates a marketplace that aggregates 150 independent garages and offers SaaS tools to streamline repairs for individual car owners and large ride-sharing, leasing and self-drive rental fleets. The company’s services are priced 35-42% below authorized service centres, and Pitstop earns a 10-18% commission on each job. Management projects the business will reach ₹28 crore in gross sales within the next 16-18 months and turn profitable in the January–March 2018 quarter. Current coverage includes Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad and Chennai, with plans to expand doorstep servicing by adding company-owned vehicles and enhancing its technology stack. A proprietary Fleet Information System gives enterprise clients real-time visibility into repairs, further differentiating the offering. Future investment will focus on scaling the technology platform and broadening the geographic footprint while deepening relationships with both garages and fleet operators.
